For 12 special days from the 21st of October to 1st November this year, Triple Three at the Mandarin Orchard will be featuring their popular Hokkaido Harvests premium buffet during dinners and Sunday lunch! Tuck in to some delightful sashimi such as amaebi, hotate, hamachi and my favourite, the buttery sweeet mekajiki. Or go for a bowl (or two) of extremely satisfying buta don with an onsen tamgo in the centre. Meat lovers will have much to appreciate with the restaurant’s signature roasted wagyu.
I fell in love with the roasted wagyu
The sashimi counter was named Tsukiji market
Thumbs up for the fragrant buta don and the onsen tamago in the centre
Chirashi don that ran out quickly. I didn’t get my uni fix.
New this year is the Steamed Hokkaido beef. Very buttery and melt in the mouth. Must go with the ponzu or peanut sauce as it can get too heavy after a serving or two.
For the launch event on the 21st, the restaurant brought in a 40kg Kindai Bluefin Tuna as a showcase. The cutting was performed by Guest Chef Kimura Tomoo and Triple Three’s Chef de Cuisine, Chef Sam Chin. The Kindai Tuna is comparatively more sustainable to the wild tuna as it is farmed from hatched eggs.
The Kindai Tuna was excellent
Generally, the Hokkaido Harvest buffet at Triple Three Mandarin Orchard features good quality food. Though a little more work is needed in overall finesse, it is a compelling visit to make if there is a longing for some Hokkaido produce that stops short of you making a visit to Japan. The Hokkaido Harvests promotion is priced at $128++ for adults and $42++ for children (aged 6-12 years), with UOB credit cardmembers enjoying 50% off every second adult diner (up to 8 diners per card).

Thank you Mandarin Orchard for the invitation.
