Friday, 22nd July marked a very important day for Gim Tim and its group of restaurants as the one at The Grassroots Club celebrated its Grand Opening as Imperial Court Shark’s Fin Restaurant. A said to be familiar name in Ang Mo Kio where the original restaurant still stands, the restaurants have now evolved into full fledged dining establishment, with mobile catering services and dining packages for weddings and celebratory events.

The style of cuisine at Imperial Court is more Cantonese then its other influences of Hokkien or Szechuan at its other restaurants, and a new menu is along its way. At the Grand Opening on Friday, lion dance troupes greeted the crowd in traditional fanfare, and all guests were treated to an extensive buffet spread which featured specialties from the restaurant’s executive kitchen.
