Xin Cuisine’s selection of mooncakes this year is inspired with the notion of modern food art to represent the elegance and beauty that makes up the Mid-Autumn Festival. Crafted by Chef Cheung Kin Nam, these mooncakes will embody ingredients that are healthier with lesser sugar and the use of traditional medicinal herbs in some varieties.
As the traditional signature Mini Egg Custard with Egg Yolk Mooncake ($52 for 6 pieces) makes a return this year, look out for special delights like the White Lotus Seed Paste with Egg Yolk Mini Snowskin Mooncake and the Lychee Chocolate and Apple Lotus Apple to tempt the tastebuds.
New to the traditional baked variety is the Assorted Nuts with Cordyceps Flower Mooncake. $56 for 4 pieces.
