Looking back, it has been almost 3 years since I last visited The Chocolate Bar at Marina Bay Sands. Being at The Chocolate Bar is like no other chocolate buffet experience. Perched on Level 57 at the Clubhouse in the Sands Skypark, The Chocolate Bar has the privilege of overlooking the entire cityscape of Singapore, providing a highlight like none of the other sweet buffet experiences. Taking that experience a notch further, the Chocolate Bar is now proud to add a cheese buffet to the spread, giving both sweet and savoury connoisseurs something to look forward for. The Cheese and Chocolate Bar Buffet starts at 8pm daily with a fresh selection of sweet treats, and a selection of unique cheeses. Wine lovers will appreciate an additional paired Classic or Deluxe wine selection. Ready for a glimpse at the experience?
I’ve always been a fan of cheeses. So was I glad when the savoury dessert selection was added to the sweet buffet line up. A total of 12 unique and luscious cheeses, ranging from the hard and sharp, to the creamy and tart are presented.
Look out for unique choices such as the Roquefort, Morbier, Shropshire, Fourme d Ambert, Stilton au Porto, Morbier, Tomme, Fontina, Machego and Red Leicester.
The chocolates presented here will reify a chocolate lover’s dream. Each item is exquisitely crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Ryan Witcher and his team. Choose from the creamy white, heavy dark, to various degrees in between. Change the experience slightly with each sweet being varied in texture, from the nutty and gritty, to the velvety smooth and cloudy. Twist the flavour with touches of sour berry to cleanse the palate and then enjoy the experience all over again. When all is done, go for a selection of cheeses to create a sharp dimension in flavour.

The Cheese and Chocolate Bar at Marina Bay Sands is a gorgeous and special experience for a special nights out in town. It is best visited with a group of friends who can truly appreciate the exquisite complexities of sweet chocolate and savoury cheese or that special someone who would love to find an exclusive space in the sky to slowly while the night away. The selection of sweets are extensive and varied, with probably a little something for everybody. The cheeses complement the set by catering to those who would like the best of both worlds. Still, the best part of the entire Cheese and Chocolate Bar buffet experience is its locality at the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands. There is something truly uplifting that simply makes the entire dessert buffet a fairy tale adventure.
