Quick Bites From Thai Express

Mum was craving for a dish of Khao Niao Mamuang (Sweet Glutinous Rice with Fresh Mango and Coconut Milk). And with Thai Express just around the corner at Northpoint, I went to buy both that fabulous sticky rice dessert and also a serving of Pad Si Ew Neua (Thai Stir Fried Beef Kway Teow).

I had them  as takeaway for a quickfix to mum’s lunch. Went home, had a couple of bites here and there. I found the Beef Kway Teow a little bland in flavours which should mean that it needs a good sprinkle of salt and spices. But they were very generous with the portions of sliced beef in it. Hey, after all, its $10.90 for a serving.

Dessert was good as ever. Sweet honey mango paired with sticky glutinous rice and a bowl of coconut cream. I mean, what could go wrong in this combination? And its nice when the sticky rice is slightly warm. $5.90 was worth it.

This is just but a quick article before I go prepare my roast chicken for dinner. Now lets keep our fingers crossed in getting that beautiful golden brown skin. Heh =)
