The Pelican Lobster Thermidor (The Pelican)
Come 28 September 2013, FIJI Water will play host to a group of 80 guests and take them on a gastronomic journey around the island sampling star dishes at top restaurants, specially selected by a panel of food critics. This ticketed event, priced at $180, will see all proceeds donated to the Children’s Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization with a mission to improving the quality of lives of children with cancer, strengthening their emotional, social and medical well-being. Guests, in doing their part for a good cause, will dine at Absinthe, Fat Cow, Hashi, Prive Grill, The Pelican, and Tippling Club. To purchase tickets for this special event, visit the link here.
Hokkaido Corn and Shrimp Fritter with Lime Aioli (Prive Grill)
Guests will be chauffeured in a luxurious coach from one point to the next from 12pm to 6pm. Each restaurant visited will serve up a signature dish, paired together with a glass of wine and Fiji water.
I’ve only been to Fat Cow, and I must say that I’ve enjoyed the experience there. Therefore, with this journey taking you throughout 6 quality restaurants within 6 hours, it is an experience well worth it. During the expedition, FIJI Water will also launch an Instagram competition for guests to document the trail. Guests need only take a photo of their gastronomic experience at each restaurant, upload the picture onto Instagram with the hashtags #FIJIWaterSignatureCreations, #Restaurant_Name, and based on their expedition album to stand a chance to win dining vouchers from the participating restaurants and a year’s supply of FIJI Water. The best five photos will also win a consolation prize each. All winners will be announced the following Monday, 30 September 2013.
