The season of Christmas encourages the spirit of giving. And it is in this spirit that The Fullerton Bay Hotel on its inaugural Christmas light up ceremony pledged to donate $20 for every diner at the Giving Hope Charity Buffet Dinner held at The Clifford Pier. This meaningful event was in support for Hope Centre’s Singapore Bursary Awards. The donations raised will fund education bursaries of primary and secondary school children from lower income families in Singapore. Furthermore, this will also help pay for sports and arts programmes that nurture the youth’s social skills.
The Christmas Tree all lit after the ceremony.
As the festivities began for the day, audience and guests were treated to a special performance by The Ministry of Bellz’s handbell ringers who signalled the start of the festive song “The Little Drummer Boy”.
The Drummer Boy (or gentleman in this case) made his appearance.
In the dimly set lobby area, it was particularly enchanting to see The Fullerton Bay’s staff walking forward with a tealight candle in hand.
The singer Jenny Cusay leading some of Hope Centre’s beneficiaries in song and dance.
Everyone was treated to a dance item performed by the Hope Centre’s beneficiaries themed around Christmas being a season for hopes and dreams.
The dinner that was held after saw a buffet selection of some of the nation’s signature dishes in addition to the Hotel’s classics and festive specialties. There was the Traditional Roasted Turkey with stuffing, Roasted Prime Ribs with Port Wine Just and the Vanilla Glazed Champagne Ham. Local classics included the Soya Sauce Braised Pork Belly in Lotus Bun, Nyonya Style Chicken Curry, and The Clifford Pier’s signature Rickshaw noodles. The hotel’s famous Fried Carrot Cake also made an appearance.
The Seventh Heaven
Everyone was then treated to an ending of sweet pleasures like the Vanilla Bourbon Creme Brulee, Strawberry Trifle, Apple Blueberries Crumble with Toffee Dip, the Italian Christmas Cake and the hotel’s signature Seventh Heaven chocolate layered cake.
If you’ve ever dreamed of enjoying a buffet spread at The Fullerton Bay Hotel, there will be two more festive feasts made available. On Christmas Eve and Christmas day itself, there will be the Christmas themed dinner featuring local classics in addition to festive roasts like the Colonial Roasted Turkey, Pork Belly and Slow Roasted Prime Ribs. In addition sweet indulgences will include the freshly baked Panettone, the traditional Christmas Yule Log and other festive themed tarts. Priced at $128++ per adult and $64++ per child (6-11 years).
On New Year’s Eve, diners will get to enjoy a signature spread of selections, be accompanied by the hotel’s 5-piece live band and partake in the festivities with a “magnificent balloon drop whilst the dazzling Marina Bay nightscape lights up with the spectacular New Year fireworks display”. Sounds particularly enchanting. Priced at $148++ per adult and $74++ per child.
