Dining at the Reservoir is one event which I would probably not think of immediately when asked for an exclusive place to dine. After all, the first thought about Reservoirs in the Singaporean context would be all the Sports’ Days held as part of the school’s initiative to get students back to nature and keep fit at the same time. However, Macritchie Reservoir is proud to host the next instalment of exclusive yet friendly dining called Lavaedge. Amidst all the greenery, to wine and dine is truly an experience, perhaps peppered more so with a few monkeys when it is not raining.
Juicy and mouthwatering, that’s my initial thought when I bit into the party portions of Fatboy’s beef burgers. With about 15 Foodies conglomerating as one at inSing’s recent get-together the previous Saturday for a grill-licious lunch, everyone was treated to a “behind the scenes” view on how the thick and juicy patties at Fatboy’s were made.
This might just be my second post on Kampong Chicken Rice but this is definitely not my 2nd visit. I guess whenever my family craves for a good homely meal that is quick, affordable, and tasty, Kampong Chicken Rice at 255 Upper Thomson Road would definitely come to mind. It has always been the same dishes that my family has ordered and it has always been good. Soft, tender with a good smear of the light soy sauce and sesame oil all around a nicely balance of Kampong Chicken meat and fats, I hunger for this right now.
I received a flyer not too long ago in my mailbox from the newly opened Japanese restaurant Yuzuya. The photos looked very tempting and it branded itself prominently with an a-la-carte buffet on the menu. With over 100 items, and at a price of $25++ (lunch), it was very attractive.
