The New Year for 2013 is just round the corner and I believe this is the best time to share an exciting gourmet event coming this way to the shores of Singapore. From the 25th to the 27th of January 2013, Marina Bay Sands Singapore will host its first Food and Wine Appreciation event.
Me and Chef Justin Quek. He shared : “What’s amazing about Marina Bay Sands is the sense
of openness and knowledge sharing that takes place every day among the celebrity chef
restaurants – it really is like a melting pot of cultures and cuisines. Epicurean Market is a
great way for us to share this camaraderie with an audience, and also to a great extent,
demystify what it is we do every day.”
Gastronomically named the Epicurean market, the three day affair sees the best food and wine from the region and beyond packed in the Sand’s exhibition halls. Celebrity Chefs Nancy Silverton, Daniel Boulud, Tetsuya Wakeda, Justin Quek and Hide Yamamoto will also make special appearances.
The delights from the celebrity chef restaurants in the Sands hotel is not to be missed. CUT, db Bistro Moderne, Guy Savoy, Pizzeria and Osteria Mozza, Waku Ghin, Sky on 57, and more, this is one gourmet exhibition that will leave one well sated through and through.
Chef Daniel Boulud of db Bistro Moderne : “At Epicurean Market, we will be able to
demonstrate and share our cuisine with visitors from across the region, particularly those
who have not yet had the opportunity to dine with us. It’s a great way to excite them and give
them a taste of what we offer.”
Guests can expect tastings, talks, cooking demonstrations, workshops and Master Classes to learn from the chefs themselves. There is a beer garden to come and for those wanting to take a little bite or special ingredient away, the market place is a must visit.
This is probably one of the best times when guests can sample the cuisine available from Marina Bay Sands at a tasty price. Found a cuisine that is to your palate, perhaps from there you could think about at dining at one of the restaurants.
