Tis’ the season to be jolly this Christmas! With stars all shining and shimmering, a cozy fire burning away brightly in the fireplace and snowflakes slowly cascading down from the heavens above. In Singapore, maybe the only probable event would be the stars shining and shimmering. Though as a marker for tradition to that warm and heartening fireplace, there is the calling of the Yule Log cake. It almost seems like a sure must that nearly any restaurant or party you visit this festive season, there will be the presence of the Christmas log cake. Sweet and velvety, with all sorts of creations ranging from the rich Chocolate to the exotic Mango, Yule Log desserts are one way to get into the festive spirits.
Prima Deli delivered a Truffle Log Cake over as a way to partake in this month’s festivities. It was quaint and nothing too excessively fancy. Decorated with macaroon shells, berries and chocolate stars, the quality of the truffle log cake revealed a rich velvety interior with a chocolate mousse centre swirled about. Not too sweet and enjoyed by all, it was very nicely done.
